My name is Marta Venegas and I am from Frisco, Texas. I am a very proud Texan! I have one older brother, Stephen, who is a junior in college at the University of North Texas. I’ve lived in the same house all my life so college has definitely been an adjustment for me. I am 18 years old and turning 19 in about 12 days. I graduated from Legacy Christian Academy, a small private school in Frisco. Because our graduating class had thirty students, it was very difficult to leave home because we were a very tight knit group. I played many sports in high school including: basketball, volleyball, track, softball, and I even attempted golf for a day. Playing sports or just any game is my absolute favorite hobby. I am a huge Dallas Mavericks fan, I always have been! I have played soccer since I was four, and I am now on the Varsity Soccer team here at OBU. Aside from sports I like hanging out with friends, going to movies, doing crafts, pretty much any fun activity I love. I am an Elementary Education major because for as long as I can remember I’ve always wanted to be some sort of teacher. I am still unsure of what age I would like to teach, but I know for sure not high school. After college I plan to move back to Texas and hopefully find somewhere to teach and possibly coach. I am a very organized and colorful person. I love cleaning simply because of the way everything looks once you’re done.
